BENGALURU: The NVIDIA #GamersConnect event held in Bengaluru, on Friday, 11 December, saw a turnout of 27 in line with what the NVIDIA team had expected. This included school teenagers who rushed to the venue after school hours, a girl gamer who published games, to hardcore gamers and even a blogger and youtube publisher duo.
Several games such as Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Rainbow Six Siege were showcased. Gamers were enthralled to witness the game’s fast-paced game play on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX platforms in 4K resolution.
NVIDIA sources say that through its #GamersConnect it wants to educate people who use products that contain NVIDIA components about the products available and their capabilities. “We generally have a crowd of about 25 or 30 gamers who come to our #GamersConnect events. They pass on the information to their friends and other gamers, and the message spreads. The intention is not to sell products, but to help the fraternity understand the right product to buy. Very often, channel partners do not share that kind of knowledge with buyers,” revealed the source.
Widely-appreciated for its cooperative gameplay, Rainbow Six Siege was in high demand amongst the gamers present at the event. Although, Assassin’s Creed fans were glued to the Syndicate version of the franchise, as it gave them a much improved experience compared to its previous versions.
Tejas Sunny, a gamer who participated in the event, said “I am glad that I came for the event. The event was pretty good as I got to interact with a lot of people from the gaming industry. This event helped me with great new ideas and perspective about professional gaming. I wish NVIDIA organizes such events more often.”
The next #GamersConnect event will be held today, 12 December in Kolkata.
